In
1996, Julian attended The Institute of Traditional Chinese
Medicine (I.T.C.M.) in Toronto. Upon graduating with a diploma
of acupuncture (D.Ac.) in 1998, he became a member of the
Ontario Association of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese
Medicine. After returning to I.T.C.M. in 2003 to complete
a second diploma in Chinese Herbal Medicine (D.CHM), he
obtained the D.TCM designation in 2005.
In
2004, Julian’s studies continued in China with a clinical
internship at the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University
of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Hunan Zhong Yi Xue Yuan),
combined with advanced theoretical studies at Hunan University
of TCM. He treated hundreds of patients working in the acupuncture,
tuina massage and internal medicine departments –
clinical experience all but impossible to achieve in Canada.
In
1998, he started a practice out of The Toronto Healing Arts
Centre, at the same time performing home visits. Since 2004,
he has been running his private practice, “Healing
from the Root” at The Carrot Common, as well as practicing
out of “Life Chiropractic” Health Centre at
98 Symington Ave in Toronto.
